Group Psychotherapy
Group therapy is a powerful medium. We are a part of many different groups throughout our lives such as our families, schools, work environments. In group psychotherapy we have the opportunity to learn about ourselves through the relationships with other group members as well as with the group therapist.
I offer a safe, compassionate therapeutic group environment, strongly influenced by Attachment theory, where much growth can take place. I have been leading groups for over 20 years. I have facilitated a weekly Democratic Therapeutic group for several years, supporting people in understanding and managing their emotions and improving their interpersonal relationships.
Its not uncommon for people to have some anxiety about being in a group setting. It is usually the case however that once the initial anxiety is overcome, people find groups to be an incredibly rich therapeutic experience.
I have completed a 2-year Diploma in Group-work Practice with the Institute of Group Analysis.
